Lebanon's Al-Mustaqbal daily reported that in the past few weeks, Hezbollah has redistributed its forces in Syria and Lebanon, placing elite forces previously stationed in Syria into southern Lebanon.

According to the report, the Divisiat al-Rodan elite unit was stationed in the Shebaa Farms region south of the Litani River, "to strengthen the forces opposite Israel.

The division is "on very high alert and equipped with special logistical equipment."

The Lebanese newspaper explained, "Hezbollah redistributed its forces, and switched some of its military units in Syria."

"Our exclusive sources have reported that Hezbollah leadership a few weeks ago moved its elite units, which had been stationed in Syrian regions where the fighting had ceased... These units were sent to sensitive areas in Lebanon, and their places in Syria were filled by regular units, which are less trained in battle."

The report was translated and disseminated by MEMRI.
